Artists are not the only ones to find inspiration in the myth of Oedipus: this strange story intrigues psychoanalysts as well. On Sunday 6 November, historian Elisabeth Roudinesco will speak about the importance of the figure of Oedipus, from Freud to contemporary research, in a conference entitled 'Visages d’Œdipe. Une histoire de la psychanalyse', led by Françoise Wolff, director and journalist (known in particular for her documentary "Jacques Lacan parle"). The conference will be followed by the screening of "Jacques Lacan, La psychanalyse réinventée", a film directed by Elisabeth Roudinesco and Elisabeth Kapnist. A means of bringing opera to the heart of contemporary debates.
