Late Night at the Opera
PARTY in the Opera!
Your wish is our command. While writing his new opera Au monde, Philippe Boesmans took inspiration from a wide range of music styles. That’s why we have invited the electro trio The Subs to the final showing of Au monde to talk about the world creation in the framework of A Night at the Opera. Afterwards, Catclub dj's Lady Jane and Fais Le Beau will whip up some hot rhythms and great beats. La Monnaie's 2014-2015 season centres around the seven deadly sins. High time to discover yours and to make opera your own eighth deadly sin!
Don’t miss some great promotion opportunities at that evening:
In the 90s, Lady Jane performed at the well-known Food parties in her hometown of Leuven alongside big names like Kenny Hawkes, Stacey Pullen and Derrick May. It wasn’t long before she was whisked away to play on the international circuit in cities like Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Paris along with artists like Kim Ann Foxmann, Nicholas Jaar, Chloe, Planningtorock and Mano Le Though. While her musical preference might have evolved since then, her style still remains unique: melodious, sensual and soulful. Nowadays Lady Jane is the woman behind the famous Catclub parties that are closely linked with the art and fashion world and are always held at special locations in Brussels, for instance in empty art deco buildings and derelict post office sorting centres.
