C.A.R.M.E.N.

In C.A.R.M.E.N. (Computerised Archival Retrieval in Multimedia Enhanced Networking), La Monnaie has developed a digital database with the ambitious objective of preserving its very extensive archives in digital form. The fact that this multimedia database is available on the Internet is unique in the world of opera. You only have to surf to C.a.r.m.e.n. in order to browse through the rich history of La Monnaie opera house. 
C.A.R.M.E.N. already contains information on productions dating from 1959 up to the present, supplemented with digital documents on posters, both scenery and costume models, programmes, and photographs of performers and productions.

Archives

The Archives can be reached by phone from Monday until Friday from 10 am until 4 pm.
Our archives are open to the public. All consultations have to be requested in writing.
