Following new safety measures to combat the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), La Monnaie closes its theatre, its offices and its box office and is suspending all service until the 5th of April. This implies the cancellation of all productions and events in this period. Our production of Pikovaya Dama is postponed until a later season.
Following new safety measures to combat the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), out of respect for our personnel, the public, healthcare professionals and the scientific authorities, the Board of Directors has decided to close the theatre, workshops and offices of La Monnaie until the 5th of April.
This means that during this period all our productions are cancelled and all our services are suspended.
All affected events are in the list below:
- The Trilogia Mozart Da Ponte
- Museum Night Fever
- The Masterclass Alain Altinoglu
- The recital by Stéphane Degout
- The family concert Till Eulenspiegel for Kids
- The concert Till Eulenspiegel
- All of our Concertini in this period
- All of our guided tours in this period
- The season presentation for our season ticket holders and Friends (28/3)
On top of this list, we have also had to cancel all rehearsals for our production of Pikovaya Dama (Tchaikovsky), and are therefore obligated to postpone this opera until a later season.
For our Trilogia Mozart Da Ponte, we’re trying to find a solution together with the artistic team and the singers so that the cancelled performances can nevertheless take place at a later date this season.
We will contact all affected ticket holders via email as soon as possible under the given circumstances.
Thank you for your understanding in this unforeseeable situation. We hope we’re able to welcome you again at La Monnaie soon.
