With Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher, Three Strong Women and Giovanna d’Arco on the programme this autumn, La Monnaie is turning the spotlight on female heroism and delving into the place of the beautiful and strong sex in the history of opera as well as in this art form today.

From Maria Callas to Queen Elizabeth via stories about Joan of Arc and La Malibran: join a special guided tour in October or November 2019 and learn all about iconic women associated with our opera house in the past and the role they have played both on and off the stage.
