La Choraline

La Choraline, La Monnaie's Youth Chorus, consists of youngsters from 14 to 18 years old and is under supervision of Benoît Giaux.

La Choraline stars in Monnaie operas and performs many concerts in Belgium and abroad: France, The Netherlands, Great-Britain, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, Hungary… La Monnaie’s singing youngsters were invited to participate in festivals such as ‘Europa Cantat’ within the Songbridge-project (Barcelona), Europa Cantat Junior (Namur), World Vision 2000 International Children’s Choir Festival (Seoul) and Klein Karoo (South Africa). La Choraline also had the privilege to sing at the wedding of King Philippe of Belgium and Queen Mathilde of Belgium. The repertoire of La Choraline contains various musical styles, from renaissance music to pop music, such as the work of Aka Moon, An Pierlé, David Linx and Marie Daulne.


Repetitions take place every Wednesday from 17:00 to 20:00 with additional repetitions for general rehearsals, group work… The annual contribution is € 120 for the first child, € 95 for the second child and € 70 for the third child of the same family, registered to one of the children’s choruses of la Monnaie.
